The University of Oxford Text Archive

The University of Oxford Text Archive hosted by JISC Historical Texts. The University of Oxford Text Archive develops, collects, catalogues and preserves electronic literary and linguistic resources for use in Higher Education, in research, teaching and learning. The OTA also gives advice on the creation and use of these resources, and is involved in the development of standards and infrastructure for electronic language resources.

Project Gutenberg

Project Gutenberg was the first provider of free electronic books, or eBooks, and its mission is to encourage the creation and distribution of eBooks. Project Gutenberg offers over 46,000 free eBooks, all digitized and diligently proofread with the help of thousands of volunteers.
